The many faces of our Bug

Let there be light

The Union Station is so rich in history. If you ever have the chance to visit it - even for a few minutes - do it. The architecture is down right beautiful. There will certainly be more pictures to come.

As you've noticed, I've been favoring the black and white/sepia tone(s) in a few of my recent pictures. "Why," you ask? Simple. Sometimes colors can distract from the light or other subtle details in a picture. In this particular shot, I love the light that is cast through the windows onto the floor (exactly why I chose this angle) and the color in the photo detracted from it.

A good book

It's not so easy to just sit and enjoy a book when there is a lively toddler running around. What a peaceful way to spend an afternoon.

Gateway to the West

Alright Folks,

Where I was lacking in photos last week, I made up for it over the weekend. Our family went on a young adults' retreat to St. Louis with a group from church. We stayed at The Union Station - GORGEOUS! Most of what I'll post I'll have taken, but there may be a few that my dear hubby shot (with my editing eye).

If I post the same picture twice, it's because I'm looking for opinions on which one you like better...

Great Expectations

Well folks,

I had grand intentions in trying to post a "new" picture everyday. It looks as though that is simply too much of a commitment for me right now. So, I'll definitely be doing at least one a week. Anyhow, here is a pic that is over a year old. I quite simply don't have the time to scrounge up a new picture today. Though it is "old" it is one of my absolute favorites of our Bug. When I look at it, I see the rawness (is this a good word?) and innocence of a baby.
