Boy I've been a terrible blogger for the past month! I can't believe how far behind I am! I have tons of material still waiting to make its appearance. So...if you've had a session with me in the last month...don't worry. Your day on the blog will come soon. The best part is...it will probably be on the new site! The biggest reason behind all the dead air is how much time we've been putting into getting things in order for the roll out of our new site. When I say "things", I mean totally overhauling our pricing structure, picking the best images for the galleries to really showcase my style, refocusing myself for the new year, etc, etc, etc. We've been busy!!! OrangePeel is getting a huge make over and I'm so excited to share it with you! So keep checking back for the link to the new site!

We love this family...I mean LOVE. I guess it's probably a good thing it ended up that way. Their older daughter, Vanessa (aka Big 'Nessa), often tells her mom that when she and Truett (my older son) get married they will live in their basement. So I guess if we're gonna be in-laws we'd better get along. ;) We never planted the idea in her head...she just adores Truett that much! If that isn't enough, her younger sister, Giuliana is only 6 days older than Peter. She was born the day before his due date and he was born on hers. All these little factoids to say...I think Laura and I were destined to be friends. I was so happy (and super nervous) to photograph their beautiful family. I'm usually nervous before every session I have, but I get especially nervous when I'm photographing people near and dear to my heart. But when you have a family as beautiful (inside and out) as this one...it's pretty hard to mess it up!

Jack's 6 Month Portraits|Child Photography|Antioch Park|Merriam KS

It was so nice to catch up with little Jack and his parents again for Jack's 6 month photos. You might remember him from this shoot. I'm so lucky that I get to hang out with Jack on a regular basis in our church nursery, but it was extra special to get to see  him on such a beautiful fall day. We met up at Antioch Park (one of my favorites!) and this is what we were able to catch. I love all the personality he gave us!

I absolutely LOVE this age! They are so playful and easy to make laugh!

This was Jack's first time in a swing...and he LOVED it!

I seriously have the coolest job!
