Gina|Senior Pictures|Ironwoods Lodge|Leawood KS

Now, we all know how easy it is to drag a teenager out of bed before noon. Well, Gina was gracious enough to schedule her session for 7am! The light couldn't have been more beautiful! She was a little reserved at first. I kept telling her how beautiful she looked...but I have a feeling she didn't believe me. This girl has skin like a baby's bottom...so smooth! Take a peek at her session and be sure to leave a comment gushing about how beautiful she is. I think we all need to hear it every once in a while...

The Guintos|Family Portraits|Sar Ko Par Trails|Lenexa KS

They met in Saipan. He was preaching, she was teaching. She lived in a little yellow cottage in the jungle. (I don't know where he lived, but I'm sure it was somewhere equally romantic :). They were married on a beach and two beautiful brown babies later, they found themselves in Kansas. Ferdie continues to preach and Melissa continues to teach (although not in a classroom). They're expecting baby #3 by the end of next month and we're all waiting in suspense to see if it's a boy or girl. One thing is for sure...Mya and Soli are going to be great big sisters!

Doing what girls do best!

Too often as parents, we forget to "do for ourselves". Here's one for you two - to remember this time when the kiddos are grown and gone. :)

Rain Puddles, Paper Cranes, and a Swing Set

It was September 14, 2002. I had just returned from a two day volleyball tournament and logged into msn messenger from my dorm room. bluephase21 was logged in. Finally. I'd waited about a month for us to be online at the same time. Then I did it. I initiated a conversation. I don't remember what we talked about. I just remember ending it with, "Well, I'm headed to Java if you want to join me."

Chris and Molly|Kansas Wedding|Holy Spirit Catholic Church|Overland Park KS

The weather was absolutely GORGEOUS...but their wedding was even prettier. This is Molly and Chris. They're both hard core athletes that met while attending St. Louis University. You'll be able to tell pretty quickly just how special Chris thinks Molly is...I mean just look at the way he looks at her!

This was my hubby (Tyler) and my first time flying solo together. We couldn't have asked for a more gracious (and BEAUTIFUL) couple. Thank you so much, Molly and Chris, for allowing us into some of your most special moments.

I loved all the little details Molly picked out - especially these peacock hair pieces - beautiful!

Now - for all the folks who wished they could have been there for the first look...

Their church is incredible. The light in that place was a photographer's dream.

After the ceremony, we loaded onto a party bus and cruised around town visiting various places to snap some more pictures in the gorgeous weather.

These guys were belting their hearts out for most of the trip.

This was such a unique venue for the reception. I loved the way it all came together. Bravo, Molly!

I HAVE to highlight the caterers. This was seriously some of the best Italian food I had EVER had. I really wish I would have had more time to eat. They're full service caterers and also supplied the open bar. They were such neat guys.

Even though we were having some focusing issues, I'm in love with this photo of their grand entrance.

On to the first dance...

I'll leave you with a couple pictures of how hoppin' the party was when we finally pulled ourselves away...

If you'd like to see the rest of Chris and Molly's pictures, sign the guest book here and you'll receive an email as soon as they're ready.

***Thank you Barb Van Slyke for being such a great MIL and giving up an entire Saturday so Tyler and I could go out on this adventure. Most of all - Thank you Tyler for being the best second shooter (and light-guy) a girl could ask for!
